Alumni of at least one regional National Ocean Science Bowl are invited to compete in the first Alumni Ocean Sciences Invitational (AOSI) a fun and engaging, new, international virtual ocean sciences bowl competition on Sunday, May 14, 2023. This virtual competition will be played head-to-head with the online Slapbowl buzzer system. There will be Team Challenge Questions (TCQs), but NO Science Expert Briefing (SEB).

The recent study, published in the journal Nature Ecology and Evolution, finds that coral reefs can evolve and adapt to the effects of climate change—but only if we protect a sufficient diversity of coral reefs, particularly when it comes to temperatures.
