RSVP now for NOAA Hollings Scholarship application workshops in January
We are hosting workshops this coming Winter Quarter on January 8th and January 22nd at 4:30 pm (FSH, room TBD) for any UW students planning on applying to the NOAA Hollings Scholarship. The upcoming workshop sessions will be structured around applicants being paired with graduate student mentors to receive multiple rounds of feedback on the written components of the application, as well as help with filling out the rest of the application form. As such, applicants are expected to attend both workshops. These workshops will be limited to students actively applying for the NOAA Hollings Scholarship, so you should be in your 2nd year out of a 4 year degree.
If you are interested, please RSVP using this form. Please note that participation in this workshop requires some prep work ahead of our first workshop. Specifically, you must email the first draft of your responses to the prompts to Emily (ebish@uw.edu) and Maddie (mlgard@uw.edu) no later than Sunday, January 6th. Additionally, you should make sure to review information about the Hollings Program. If you missed our info session, you can find the slides here or view a recording of NOAA’s info session here.
Please contact Emily or Maddie if you can’t make the workshop times but still would like feedback on your application, or if you have any other questions or concerns!
Emily Bishop, SAFS Graduate Student and ’13 Hollings Alum (ebish@uw.edu)
Maddie Gard, SMEA Graduate Student and ’21 Hollings Alum (mlgard@uw.edu)
