Anticipated Season Length Six (6) Months:

January 1 to June 30

Join our team at the Arlington & Whitehorse Hatcheries and help perform scientific, technical, and important maintenance duties here and other nearby facilities and trap sites within a complex, rearing anadromous and non-anadromous species of fish.  

We are recruiting to hire at the Fish Hatchery Specialist 1 or 2 level, and we will train a Fish Hatchery Specialist 1 up to the Fish Hatchery Specialist 2.

Depending on which level you are hired at, your monthly salary range will be as follows:

Fish Hatchery Specialist 1 – $3,145.00 – $4,174.00

Fish Hatchery Specialist 2 – $3,454.00 – $4,602.00

 

This is an opportunity, to showcase your detailed knowledge of fish culture, biological principles, hydrology, and fish ecology.

In this dynamic role, you will use a variety of methods such as: electric fish pump, brail and crane you to load fish for transport; then assist with liberating fish via trucks and boats.

The optimal applicant will have the skills needed to monitor and maintain facility support systems, for example diesel generators, domestic and ozone water treatment plants, and alarm panels just to name a few.
