The Marine Scientist position supports the SAV program by contributing to the Seagrass Restoration and Field Monitoring component, which includes supervision of grant and state-funded research projects, including all field and laboratory studies.  Under general direction, while exercising within project independence, the position operates as a project leader within a team of staff conducting day-to-day operations in all aspects of the Seagrass Restoration Lab.

• Bachelor’s degree in the field of biology, aquatic science, marine science, or other related life science, OR the equivalent combination of education and or experience directly related to the position.

• Experience working in an Aquatic Science program performing sampling, data collection, and conducting experimental procedures.
• Experience analyzing data with the ability to report on findings.
• Experience using a variety of laboratory and or field equipment.

SALARY: Up to $50,000 commensurate with experience
