Duwamish wetland restoration: Passion’s social takeover

Our latest Instagram takeover is with Ruimeng Liu (Passion), a UW Marine Biology senior who is working on the Duwamish River wetland restoration project.

Thank you guys for coming to my student takeover today! I really had a good time.

My name is Ruimeng Liu (Passion), a senior student majoring in @uw_marinebiology . I am currently a member of @uw_wetlandecosystemteam and am working on the wetland restoration project in Duwamish River.

As an undergrad research assistant, my task is doing the field works in Duwamish River and finishing the data entry in the lab. I grew up in a small Chinese city with rich resources in wetland, and I am glad I can work in a project having familiar context with!

In the stories I post, I also introduced my working experience as a Coho sampling technician for @thewdfw on San Juan island. My task was interviewing recreational fishery boats and sample the Coho they got in Coho season.

My main interests in aquatic field is about ecology since the reactions between creatures and the ecosystem are appealing to me.

You can reach me out at my personal account @passionmeng , and please feel free to ask me any question about marine biology program, field experience, WET, international students and anything else!
