Career Services Program Assistant

Description: Primary duties include managing posts to the College of the Environment Environmental Jobs website, supporting alumni tracking projects, and assisting in the planning and execution of career services events.

Required Qualifications: Candidates should have a genuine interest in the College’s focus on environment, sustainability, and conservation and specifically be interested in environmental career pathways and/or career services. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize several competing tasks and projects. In addition, candidates must be comfortable with computers, work well as a member of a team, communicate effectively with colleagues, exercise good judgment, be open to learning new skills, and meet deadlines.

  • Experience with MS Office and Google Suite
  • Knowledge of how to edit and update web pages, specifically WordPress

Student Services & Social Media Program Assistant 

Description: Primary duties include coordinating the Undergraduate Student Ambassador Program and related recruitment activities and events, managing our student run social media accounts, and managing the envamb@uw email account for Shadow an Ambassador requests or questions.  The student assistants play a key leadership role in organizing Ambassador participation in future student events and college fairs, as well as keeping our social media updated and relevant. Student Assistants are invited to serve as an Undergraduate Student Ambassador but are not required to do so.

Required Qualifications: Candidates should have a genuine interest in the College’s focus on environment, sustainability, and conservation and specifically be interested in student recruitment and social media. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize several competing tasks and projects. In addition, candidates must be comfortable with greeting and managing visitors, work well as a member of a team, communicate effectively with colleagues, exercise good judgment, be open to learning new skills, and meet deadlines.

  • Experience with MS Office and Google Suite

  • Experience creating social media content
