Course Description
Seminar series featuring local, national, and internationally known speakers in fisheries management and conservation. Conservation/restoration in practice. Pre-seminar discussion section focusing on select readings. Topics may include harvest management, whaling, by-catch, salmon, marine protected areas, introduced species, citizen action, co-management, and marine ethics.

Co-lists: co-listed with ENVIR 478 and BIOL 478. Taking any of FISH/ENVIR/BIOL 478 counts as the same course with the same instructor; only difference is the registration restrictions for different sections.
Registration restrictions:
FISH 478: AFS, ACE majors only Period 1, No Freshmen, Grads (major/class restrictions will be lifted on sophomore registration day)
ENVIR 478: ENVIR majors only Period 1
BIOL 478: None
Major requirements: Other marine biology elective
Minor requirements: Aquatic & Fishery Sciences elective
