Course Description

Enhances student proficiency in applying physiological knowledge to real-world challenges, as encountered in government agencies and industry. Students learn the role of marine animal physiology in addressing contemporary issues from marine biodiversity conservation to sustainable fisheries management and aquaculture. Draws from a foundation in organismal biology, marine ecology, and oceanography.

Registration restrictions: Juniors, Seniors, 5th Year only Period 1; AFS, MARBIO, ACE majors only Period 1, Major and class restrictions will be lifted on sophomore registration day

Major requirements: Organismal processes elective, Other marine biology elective, 400-level elective, Lab elective

Minor requirements: Aquatic & Fishery Sciences elective
