Course Details
Course Description
Uses extensive field work to enhance students’ practical knowledge of marine organismal and habitat diversity, and oceanographic processes. Development of integrative skills in experimental design, data collection, field interpretation, and communication.
Requires additional time living and studying at Friday Harbor Labs in September before the start of the standard Autumn quarter. Additional room and board fees paid to FHL are required. Dates TBA.
Registration Restrictions: Add code restricted registration to reserve course for Marine Biology Majors with the following completed pre-reqs beyond those listed: OCEAN 210, FISH/OCEAN/BIOL 270 or BIOL 220, MARBIO 305 or FHL 333, Q SCI 381 or STAT 311, Three, 300/400 level marine biology electives with at least one of the completed ‘core series’ (FISH 323, OCEAN 330 or MARBIO 370).
