Ah spring! Nearly at the end of the school year: cherry blossoms, singing birds, and for many of you: thoughts about jobs and careers. You might be graduating and looking for your first job out of school, or you may be focused on exploring career options or securing good internships.
Wherever you are in your career planning, you should take advantage of the UW Career Center spring workshops. Workshops are available on all sorts of topics from writing resumes to online networking. Best of all, they are free for UW students.
Are you looking to gain an internship opportunity? Search no more! The Career Center’s Internship Fair is a great opportunity for students of all majors and class levels from all three UW campuses to connect with corporate, small business, non-profit and government employers who are all looking for Huskies, like YOU, to fill their internship needs. Some employers will have part-time and full-time positions available as well. Don’t miss out on this perfect opportunity!
The Environmental Career Fair is just a couple of weeks away – Wednesday, February 24! The Career Fair runs from 11am-3pm in MGH Commons, with an employer panel from 2-3 pm in the Career Center (MGH 134).
Several groups across campus have put together workshops to help you prepare for the Environmental Career Fair & your job/internship search. These events are all free and open to all students. Two of these events – Xi Sigma Pi’s Resume Workshop (2/10) and the Environmental Studies Career Fair Prep Workshop (2/22) – are focused specifically on helping students to prepare for careers/internships related to the environment and/or natural resources.
