We bring upper-level undergraduate students to the Chesapeake Bay to conduct individual research projects with a scientist-mentor at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. We select undergrads in many disciplines, including engineering, biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, ecology and marine and environmental science.

2019 Ocean Science Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program, California State University, Monterey Bay

Apply now for the summer 2019 research experiences for undergraduates (REUs) with California State Unviersity Monterey Bay. Students can also elect to work with mentors at partner institutions including: Hopkins Marine Station of Stanford University, Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, Moss Landing Marine Labs or Naval Postgraduate School. Students conduct 10 weeks of independent research under the supervision of a research mentor. In addition, students complete a suite of professional development workshops and training. The summer culminates with our celebratory Summer Research Symposium.
