FAQ

How do I pay for tuition at FHL?

Tuition to attend classes at FHL is almost exactly the same as normal UW tuition with the addition of some lab fees and a required room & board fee for all students. Students can use financial aid to pay to go to FHL, and there are a variety of scholarships available to help make your plans a reality.

I’m currently living on campus in a UW dorm. Does that mean I can’t leave campus to spend a quarter at FHL?

Students accepted to study at Friday Harbor Labs can be released from their housing contract in order to live in the dormitories at FHL.

I missed the application deadline! Did I miss my chance to attend FHL?

Late applications are permitted on a space-available basis. Get your application materials in as soon as possible.

Who can I contact to ask more questions?
